Samantha Melis, PhD, is a seasoned professional specializing in humanitarian aid and conflict response, currently serving as Program Officer for Europe and MEAL advisor at Stichting Vluchteling since February 2021. Previously, Samantha held roles as a Research Associate and Research Consultant at the International Institute of Social Studies, contributing to projects such as "When Disasters meet Conflict" and assessing the impact of COVID-19 on complaint mechanisms for the CHS Alliance. As a PhD candidate at the International Institute of Social Studies, research focused on the intersection of disaster and conflict.
