Ton Huijzer

Ton Huijzer has extensive experience in humanitarian policy and strategy, currently serving as a Consultant for Stichting Vluchteling since January 2016. In addition, Ton holds a position on the Advisory Committee for St. Maarten with Rode Kruis Nederland since December 2017 and contributes as a Co-initiator and Steering Committee member at KUNO. Previous roles include a consultancy for collaboration models at the Dutch Relief Alliance and addressing integrity issues for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Prior to these roles, Ton was an Alliance Manager at the International Rescue Committee from 2009 to 2015, Director of International Operations at Rode Kruis Nederland from 2001 to 2009, and served as Head of Mission/Relief Coordinator for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies between 1992 and 2001. Ton's educational background includes studies at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from 1968 to 1975.
