Michael Mak

Michael Mak has a diverse work experience in the finance sector. Michael is currently the Group Director of Finance cum Head of Finance for Regal Airport Hotel & Regal Skycity Hotel at Regal Hotels International since April 2023. Prior to this, they were the Director of Finance at Regal Skycity Hotel and Regal Airport Hotel. Michael also served as the Director of Finance at The Murray, Hong Kong, a Niccolo Hotel. Additionally, they have held positions such as Financial Controller at Regal Airport Hotel and Harbour Plaza Metropolis, and Financial Controller at Eaton, Hong Kong. Michael started their career as an Assistant Financial Controller at Langham Hotel, Hong Kong, and previously worked as a Training Specialist at Fidelio Co Limited. In 2010, they served as an Executive Committee Member and Secretary for the Hotel Controller & Accountant Association.

Michael Mak attended TAFE NSW from 1990 to 1992, where they studied accounting. Michael then studied at Raimondi College from 1970 to 1983, but the field of study is unspecified. Michael has obtained several certifications, including being named an International Affiliate of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Michael is also a Fellow Member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Public Accountants (Australia). In 2016, Michael Mak was awarded the title of Fellow Certified Management Accountant (FCMA) by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants in Australia.
