Shavon H. has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as Principal and Leader at ReGeneration Schools since June 2020. Prior to this role, Shavon H. held various positions at Great Lakes Academy Charter School from July 2017 to June 2020, including Principal, Assistant Principal, and Dean of Culture. Experience at Uncommon Schools from June 2014 to July 2017 includes roles as Instructional Leader and 2nd Grade Lead Teacher, among others. Shavon H. began in education as a Corps Member with Teach For America from December 2013 to June 2016. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education (2014-2016) and a Bachelor of Arts in Education Studies and Psychology from DePauw University (2010-2014).

ReGeneration Schools is a non-profit school management organization that's dedicated to ensuring that all children have equal access to high quality, college-preparatory education through academic excellence and the content of their character. We currently manage a network of six schools on three CICS campuses in Chicago, IL, and three schools in Cincinnati, OH. ReGeneration Schools prepares all students to enter and succeed in college through effort, achievement and the content of their character.
