Amr al-Zain

Amr Al-Zain is a Scientist at Neochromosome, Inc. since October 2021, with a focus on molecular biology techniques, yeast genetics, and Illumina whole genome sequencing to investigate genome rearrangements. Prior experience includes serving as a PhD Candidate at Columbia University Irving Medical Center from September 2014 to October 2021, and a PhD Intern at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, where molecular biology techniques supported the development of high molecular weight cloning technology. Additional roles encompass a Research Assistant at Brooklyn College, where work centered on DNA replication in yeast, and an Adjunct Lecturer. Earlier research experience involved a summer internship at St. Vincent's Medical Center, contributing to clinical research on cancer screening, and serving as a Translator for JICA in Yemen.
