Victor J. Matos

Medical Director at Regenocyte Therapeutic

Dr. Matos has been a key member of the Regenocyte team since 2009. His expertise, insight and compassion are an invaluable asset to the program. Dr. Matos received his Doctorate of Medicine from the Ibero-American University in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Dr. Matos completed his Fellowship training in Cardiovascular Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine at Carlos Arvelo Hospital in Caracas, Venezuela. Dr. Matos has had post fellowship training at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas and Stonybrook Medical Center in Toronto. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Molecular Biology from Las Americas Health Science Center and is currently a PhD candidate in Health Sciences at Atlantis University. Dr. Matos is co-author of the “5 minutes ICU Consult” and also collaborated on the “Self Assessment ICU guide” for the SCCM and received recognition in 2012 by the SCCM due to field work during the Haiti earthquake. He is currently Chairman of the ICU at the Instituto Nacional del Cancer Dominicano Rosa Tavarez. He is an active member of the SCCM, FEPIMCTI and COCECATI.
