Tamas Kolos-Lakatos has worked in the aviation industry for over a decade. In 2008, they began their career as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at Aeroplex of Central Europe, where they oversaw various systems of Boeing 737NG and Classic aircraft, handled airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and training manuals, and demonstrated aircraft weighing. In 2010, they worked as an Engineering Intern at Corvus Aircraft. From 2011 to 2017, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in Air Transportation at MIT, where they quantified the impacts of new wake vortex separation concepts on runway capacity as part of a National Center of Excellence for Aviation Operations Research (NEXTOR) project for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Since 2017, they have been a Senior Aviation Consultant at InterVISTAS Consulting, and in 2022, they will become the Director of Product Strategy and Head of Data Analytics at REGENT.
Tamas Kolos-Lakatos has a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Air Transportation Systems from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Florida, a course in Aerospace Engineering from SKEMA Bachelors, and an International Baccalaureate from Armand Hammer United World College of the American West.
