C. Charlie Mayo

C. Charlie Mayo has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. They started their career in 2009 as a Research Assistant at Virginia Tech, where they collaborated on a project focused on metabolically engineering cellulose utilization by the bio-butanol producer Clostridium acetobutylicum. At Virginia Tech, they gained expertise in molecular cloning techniques and laboratory management.

In 2011, Mayo joined PPD as an Associate Scientist, later transitioning to the role of Scientist. At PPD, they contributed to scientific research and analysis.

In 2014, Mayo joined Novavax, a clinical-stage vaccine company, as an Associate II in Downstream Process Development. At Novavax, they played a role in developing innovative vaccines for infectious diseases.
