Cindy Newell

Cindy Newell has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and medical industry. Cindy has held various roles, starting as a Medical Laboratory Technician in the United States Navy from 1987 to 1991. Cindy then worked as a Medical Laboratory Technologist at Advocate Condell Medical Center from 1992 to 2002. After that, they joined the United States Naval Reserves as a Medical Laboratory Technologist from 2002 to 2006. In 2002, they also started working at Abbott, where they initially served as a Quality Project Manager until 2011, and then became a Senior Clinical Affairs Auditor until 2016. From 2017 to 2018, they worked at Musculoskeletal Clinical Regulatory Advisers, LLC (MCRA) as a Manager of Clinical Quality Assurance. Currently, they are employed at REGENXBIO Inc. since 2018, first as a Senior Manager of Clinical Compliance and Operational Business Excellence, and now as an Associate Director and Principal Clinical Compliance Lead.

Cindy Newell holds a Bachelor's Degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Cindy has obtained additional certifications, including SOCRA certification from the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) in 2020 and ASQ Certified Quality Auditor from ASQ - World Headquarters in December 2006.
