Dawn Phillips has a diverse work experience primarily in the field of clinical outcomes research and evaluation. Dawn has held senior positions at REGENXBIO Inc. and AVROBIO, where they contributed to clinical research and scientific operations. Dawn has also worked as a research scientist at Evidera and as a consultant at Chiesi Italia, Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Genzyme Genetics, where they focused on clinical outcomes research and evaluation. Prior to their work in research, Dawn served as a functional outcomes consultant at the University of Florida and as an assistant professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dawn began their career as a pediatric physical therapist at Duke University Health System.
Dawn Phillips has a strong educational background. Dawn obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Saskatchewan between 1983 and 1987. Later, they pursued their Master of Science in Human Movement Science, specializing in Infant and Family Studies, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1997 to 2001. Dawn continued their education at the same institution, earning a PhD in Human Movement with a focus on Functional Outcomes in Developmental Disability from 2006 to 2011. Additionally, in 2006 and 2007, Dawn was a LEND Fellow at the UNC Center for Development and Learning, where they obtained further education in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Maternal and Child Health.
