Elisa Tsao

Elisa Tsao has an extensive work experience in the field of biostatistics. Elisa is currently working as a Senior Director of Biostatistics at REGENXBIO Inc. since January 2024. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Biometry at Freeline from May 2022 to January 2023. From April 2019 to May 2022, they worked at Sanofi as the Biostatistics Head for Rare Diseases and Multiple Sclerosis in the Global Medical division. Before that, they served as the Executive Director of Biostatistics at Bioverativ from February 2017 to April 2019. Elisa also worked as a Director of Biostatistics at Biogen from October 2013 to February 2017. Elisa has a long history with Sanofi Genzyme, where they held the position of Director of Biostatistics in the Clinical Development division from 2006 to 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a Lead Statistician at Biogen Idec from 2000 to 2006. Elisa began their career as a Senior Biostatistician at PPD from 1997 to 2000. Elisa also worked as a Biostatistician at PAREXEL from 1995 to 1997. Elisa's early experience includes working as a Statistical Consultant at Radcliffe College of Harvard University from January 1995 to August 1995. Overall, Elisa has held various leadership positions and gained significant expertise in biostatistics throughout their career.

Elisa Tsao obtained their PhD in Psychology with a minor in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they studied from 1989 to 1994.
