Joakim Sandberg

Joakim Sandberg currently serves as Head of Cultural Affairs at Region Västerbotten, overseeing cultural development with an annual budget of 200-220 million SEK. Prior to this role, Joakim held various executive positions at DreamHack AB, including Chief Human Resources and Risk Officer, where responsibilities encompassed establishing HR routines and implementing GDPR compliance, as well as serving as Chief Operating Officer, managing all operations within the organization. Joakim has also been Head of Section at Migrationsverket, directing efforts to provide social care during the European refugee crisis, and Director of Department at SVT, implementing financial governance while overseeing project management. Earlier experience includes roles as News Director at Västerbottens-Kuriren AB and Norran, among other positions in journalism. Joakim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Studies from Linköping University and has pursued extensive education in leadership and management strategies across various institutions.
