Per Hallberg serves as the Director of the Centre for Biomedical Engineering & Physics at Umeå University since 2013, where collaboration with LTU and northern regions promotes regional growth and consolidates research in medical technology. In addition to this role, Per Hallberg is a Senior Lecturer and Director of Graduate Studies, overseeing the 3-year Science in Engineering, Electrical Power program. As Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering R&D at Region Västerbotten and with a long-standing position as a Ph.D. Biomedical Engineer at the University Hospital of Northern Sweden, Per Hallberg has managed multiple research projects. Previous positions include Director of CMTF and R&D Manager at BioResonator AB, where involvement in product development for new medical devices took place. Per Hallberg has a Master of Engineering in Physics from Umeå University, obtained from 1997 to 2001.
