Terje Peetso

Chief Medical Innovation Officer at Põhja-Eesti Regionaalhaigla

Terje Peetso has a diverse work experience, with roles in both the private and public sectors. Terje began their career as a Policy Officer at the European Commission in 2003 and held this position until 2016. During this time, they gained expertise in policy development. In 2016, they joined the European Commission's DG CONNECT as the Head of Sector for eHealth and Ageing Policy. Here, they played a key role in shaping policy in these areas until 2018. In the same year, they transitioned to the North Estonia Medical Centre, where they served as a Member of the Management Board until 2023. During this period, they held the position of Chief Medical Innovation Officer. Terje Peetso's work experience demonstrates their knowledge and expertise in healthcare policy and innovation.

Terje Peetso completed a six-year Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Tartu, Estonia, from 1982 to 1988, resulting in a Medical Doctor degree.
