Ellen Tian

Ellen Tian, MSc., P.Eng., PMP, currently serves as the General Manager of Regional & Community Utilities at the Regional District of Nanaimo, where responsibilities include overseeing the Department's operations and advising senior leadership. Previously, Ellen Tian held various director-level positions at the City of Edmonton from 2007 to 2021, including Director of Technical Services, Director of Utility Engineering, and Director of Drainage Operations, focusing on waste services, drainage infrastructure management, and engineering support. Ellen Tian also worked as a Project Engineer at Morrison Hershfield from 2005 to 2007. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Civil - Environmental Engineering from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil - Water & Wastewater Treatment from Chongqing University.
