Beth Carlson

Beth Carlson is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in English language arts. Currently serving as an NBCT Mentor at RSU 21 School District since September 2022, Beth has guided five teachers through the National Board Certification process. As an Executive Board Member for the Maine Council for English Language Arts since 2007 and the English Department Chair at Kennebunk High since August 2001, Beth teaches college prep, Advanced Placement, and International Baccalaureate English courses, while also managing the department budget and leading curriculum design. Additionally, from 2009 to 2022, Beth contributed as an AP Reader for ETS/College Board, scoring essays for AP English Language and Composition. Academic credentials include a Master of Education in Adolescent Education from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, with minors in Psychology and Education from Roger Williams University.
