Tom Clifford is an accomplished legal and public service professional with extensive experience in labor relations and municipal governance. Appointed by Governor Ned Lamont, Tom serves as a Member of the Connecticut State Board of Labor Relations, while concurrently holding the position of Chairman of the Representative Policy Board for the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority, overseeing water services for the Greater New Haven area. Previously, Tom served as a State Mediator for the Connecticut Department of Labor and spent nearly four decades with the State of Connecticut Office of the Attorney General as an Assistant Attorney General focused on labor relations. Tom also has a background in academia as an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at Fairfield University and has held leadership roles in local government, including multiple terms as Mayor of Ansonia and Chairman of the Greater Bridgeport - Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization. Tom holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Arts in American Government and Politics from Boston University.
