Flora Hammond's work experience includes serving as the Chief of Medical Affairs at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana since December 2009. Flora also holds the role of Chair and Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Indiana University School of Medicine since the same period. Flora has worked as the Medical Director for Indianapolis at NeuroRestorative from June 2012 to May 2015. Flora previously worked at Carolinas Healthcare System as a Physician, Research Director, and Brain Injury Director from September 1995 to December 2009.
Flora Hammond completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, General from Tulane University from 1981 to 1986. Flora then pursued their Medicine degree also at Tulane University from 1986 to 1990. Following that, they attended Baylor College of Medicine from 1991 to 1994, where they completed a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program. Lastly, in 1994 to 1995, they attended Wayne State University School of Medicine, specializing in Brain Injury Medicine.
