Apolo Takeshi, MSc

Apolo Takeshi has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Apolo started their career at Arai Consultoria, where they worked as a Startup from 2009 to 2020. Apolo then moved on to work at Grupo de Moda Soma as an Analyst, focusing on commercial performance and budgeting from 2014 to 2017. Apolo then joined Universal Music Group as a Business Intelligence Specialist, where they provided financial analysis and reporting on digital platforms. Following that, they worked at OLX Brasil, initially as a Trust and Safety Specialist, then transitioning to roles such as Big Data Specialist, Product Data & Insights Specialist, and finally as a Lead Advanced Analytics, where they were responsible for data modeling and evaluation. Currently, Apolo is working as an Engineering Tech Manager at Rei do Pitaco, where they lead a team of engineers. Throughout their career, Apolo has gained expertise in various technologies such as Spark, Scala, Databricks, SQL, Python, and data visualization tools like Looker and Google Data Studio.

Apolo Takeshi, MSc has an extensive education history in the field of Computer Engineering, Data Science, and Business Administration. Apolo obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Engenharia de Produção (Industrial Engineering) from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.

Apolo further pursued their studies at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, where they completed a Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Elétrica - MBA (Master in Business Administration) degree with a focus on Sistemas de Apoio à Decisão - Data Science and Business Intelligence. During this period, they also acquired a Black Belt certification in Qualidade e Controle from Escola EDTI.

In 2017, Apolo attended the Lean Startup Program at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, specializing in Security. Apolo continued their studies at Instituto Militar de Engenharia, obtaining a Master of Science in Computer Engineering with a focus on Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Data and Text Mining, and Conceptual Modeling.

In 2020, Apolo pursued a Nano Degree in Data Scientist for Enterprise from Udacity, specializing in Data Science. Apolo has also obtained several additional certifications, including a Nano Degree in Machine Learning Engineer, Structural Machine Learning Projects from deeplearning.ai, Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera, and a Deep Learning Nano Degree from Udacity. Furthermore, they have certifications in Product Masterclass: How to Build Digital Products from Product School, and Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn.
