James Huff

James Huff is an accomplished database engineering professional with extensive experience in managing and optimizing database infrastructures across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Principal Database Engineer at REI since June 2015, James has significantly contributed to the evolution of Oracle database systems, focusing on high availability and infrastructure improvements. Prior roles include Senior Database Administrator at Amazon, where James ensured operational stability and resource utilization for Oracle instances, and Sr. Database Engineer in earlier REI tenure, where strategic roadmaps for database features were implemented. James's career also features database administration roles at Puget Sound Energy, Network Commerce Inc., Cendant Development Group, The Internet Power Company, and Jaz and Jaz, showcasing a strong background in both technical database management and web development.
