Joanna Schmitt

Joanna Schmitt, MS-RECM, RPA, LEED AP, currently serves as the Head of Corporate Real Estate, Facilities & Operations at REI, a position held since August 2014. In this role, Joanna leads the Corporate Real Estate division, overseeing strategic planning, site selection, lease negotiations, and facilities operations, while ensuring quality employee experiential services. Prior to REI, Joanna held positions at American Assets Trust, where responsibilities included managing multi-market portfolios as a Senior Property Manager, and served as a Tenant Services Administrator at Shorenstein Realty Services. Joanna began a career in commercial property management with Allied Orion Group. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Real Estate Construction Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate/Marketing, both from the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business.
