Matt 🤖 Henderson

Matt Austin is a seasoned cybersecurity professional currently serving as the Principal Red Team Engineer at Match Group since August 2024. Prior to this role, Matt held the position of Principal Security Researcher at Pixee and was Director of Security Research at Contrast Security from April 2017 to January 2023, where responsibilities included managing a security research lab focused on attack method research, security rule design, and evaluation of new technologies for security controls. Earlier career experiences include software engineering roles at Machinima, Aspect Security, JibJab Media, Fonality, and Cellus USA, with a strong emphasis on application security and Ruby development. Matt possesses a DOD “Secret” Level Clearance and has contributed to significant projects addressing industry standards such as PCI and HIPAA, further establishing a robust foundation in cybersecurity and software development. Education was pursued at Cambridge College from 2001 to 2003.
