Itzik Shachar

Itzik Shachar has a diverse work experience in the field of IT. Itzik is currently working at Rekor as a Software Engineering Team Leader, leading a large team of professionals in various roles such as Backend, Frontend, QA, Product, and BI. Their responsibilities include ensuring the timely delivery of projects and maintaining high-quality standards.

Prior to their current role, Itzik worked at Redis as a Software Engineering Team Leader, where they focused on improving the scale, quality, security, and availability of the company's SaaS infrastructure. Itzik built and led a new Backend team to enhance the main SaaS service.

Before Redis, Itzik was at NetoMedia, where they held the position of Software Engineering Team Leader. Itzik led multiple teams responsible for developing a B2C/B2B soft-gaming platform and scaled the back-end group to four independent teams. Their teams were involved in the development of the main gaming infrastructure along with QA Automation systems.

Itzik started their career at Comm-IT as a Back-End Software Developer, gaining expertise in designing and developing J2EE based server-side applications. Itzik also worked as a QA Automation Developer and Professional Services Specialist at the same company, planning and executing communication projects and implementing high-classification projects for security sector customers.

At Thomson Reuters, Itzik served as a Network Engineer, where they were involved in the design, construction, and implementation of systems for financial companies in Israel. Itzik implemented data communications projects using equipment manufactured by Cisco and performed on-site maintenance.

Throughout their career, Itzik has gained extensive knowledge and experience in various technologies and frameworks such as REST, SOAP, Spring, EJB, and Hibernate. Itzik has also received recognition for their excellent performance, receiving the "Employee Excellence" award at Comm-IT.

Itzik Shachar obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The Academic College of Tel-Aviv, Yaffo, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. In addition to their degree, Itzik has several certifications, including "Kotlin for Java Developers" from Udemy, obtained in July 2022, and "The Complete Node.js Developer Course" from Udemy, obtained in 2020. Other certifications include "Interviewing Skills: How to Recognize & Hire The Best" from Udemy, obtained in September 2018, and "Product Management Course Certificate" from Bar Ilan University, obtained in November 2016. Itzik also holds certifications in CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) from CISCO and CCSA (CheckPoint Certified Security Administrator) from CheckPoint.
