Brian Gates

Brian Gates is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in various roles across different organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at the National Basketball Association since January 2024, Brian also holds a position as a Senior Software Developer at Rekor since March 2022. Previous roles include Senior Software Engineer at SimSpace Corporation and Senior Software Developer at AgileThought. Before joining the software industry, Brian spent three years as an Instructor at The Iron Yard, teaching software development to aspiring junior developers. Additional experience includes freelance software development and a role as Research Assistant II at Genomatica, where Brian contributed to scientific research through innovative simulation methodologies. Brian holds a degree from The Johns Hopkins University, attained between 1991 and 1995.
