Relate Counseling Center
Kai Ecker is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota's UROC since January 2023 and a Practicum Student at Relate Counseling Center since August 2022. Prior experience includes working as a Data, Reporting, & Evaluation Specialist at EMERGE Minnesota from August 2021 to January 2023, and as an Opportunity Navigator with Minnesota Opportunity Corps from September 2020 to July 2021. In the realm of journalism, Ecker served as an Associate Digital Editor at Twin Cities Business from February 2020 to July 2020, and held editorial internships at Mpls.St.Paul Magazine and Greenspring Media. Early reporting experience was gained at Minnesota Daily, and customer service skills were developed as a Server at Old World Pizza from September 2016 to October 2018. Ecker is pursuing a Master of Social Work with a focus on Clinical Mental Health at the University of Minnesota, having previously earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the same institution, along with various certificates in culinary arts.
