Elena Arciero

Elena Arciero, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Computational Genomics at Relation, a position held since August 2025. Prior to this role, Elena worked at Quotient Therapeutics from May 2023 to August 2025 as the Statistical Genetics & Target Assessment Lead and previously as the Statistical Genetics Lead. Elena's experience also includes a tenure as a Scientific Investigator at GSK from May 2021 to May 2023 and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Wellcome Sanger Institute from November 2018 to May 2021. Elena completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at the University of Cambridge, focusing on a four-year PhD programme at the Sanger Institute from 2014 to 2018, and holds a Master's degree in Biodiversity and Evolution from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna (2011-2013) as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Università degli Studi di Milano (2007-2011). Additional educational experience includes a diploma from Liceo Scientifico (2002-2007) and time at Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2009-2010 for further studies.
