Benjamin Moseley began their work experience in 2010 as a Research Intern at Yahoo! Benjamin then returned to Yahoo! in 2011 for another Research Internship. In 2012, they joined the Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago as a Research Assistant Professor. The following year, in 2013, they took on a Faculty Summer Sabbatical at Sandia National Laboratories. In 2014, Moseley became an Assistant Professor at Washington University in St. Louis and held the position until 2017. In 2016, they briefly worked as a Consulting Senior Research Scientist at Yahoo. In 2018, Moseley took on the role of Consulting Scientist at RelationalAI and also became an Assistant Professor at Carnegie Mellon University. Benjamin was later promoted to the position of Associate Professor in 2020 at Carnegie Mellon University.

Benjamin Moseley holds a Ph.D in Computer Science, which they obtained from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the years 2008-2012. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the same university in the year 2008. In 2006, Benjamin received their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as well.
