Phil Greenwood

Phil Greenwood began their career in 2005 as a Senior Research Associate at Lancaster University. In this role, they were responsible for leading task forces and work-package activities, guiding research and development activities, and co-ordinating amongst a number of academic and industrial sites across Europe. In 2011, they joined Relative Insight as the Chief Technology Officer. At Relative Insight, they are involved in the world of language analytics, helping brands and agencies learn about different audiences through comparative linguistics. Phil is also responsible for layering on top of any language data on or off the web in order to help customers learn about different audiences, brands, topics, or trends.

Phil Greenwood obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from Lancaster University between 1998 and 2001. Phil then earned their Master of Science (MSc) in Distributed Interactive Systems from the same university in 2001 and 2002. Finally, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Software Engineering from Lancaster University in 2002 and 2006.
