Andrew Ballard

Andrew Ballard is a Manufacturing Engineer I focusing on primary structures at Relativity Space since August 2025. With experience as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Howmet Aerospace, Andrew designed custom fixtures for part inspection and implemented 5S methodology to enhance workspace organization. As Chief Engineer for an Autonomous Ground Vehicle project with Northrop Grumman, Andrew led a team of 39 engineers in developing an autonomous unmanned ground vehicle. Prior roles include Payload Lead and Mechanical Designer for the same project, and process engineering internships at dsm-firmenich and Meissner, where significant improvements in production processes were achieved. Andrew holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Materials Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, completed in May 2025.
