Joseph L. is a highly experienced welding engineer with a focused expertise in friction stir welding and aerospace manufacturing. Currently serving as a Staff Welding Engineer at Relativity Space, Joseph L. is responsible for implementing new welding technologies and qualifying procedures for flight readiness. Previous roles include significant contributions at BLUE ORIGIN as a Product and Process Development Engineer III, where Joseph L. managed the friction stir weldment for major aerospace components, and at Boeing, contributing to the SLS program’s welding efforts. Academic engagement includes teaching aerospace welding at Nunez Community College, and Joseph L. has also completed impactful research with NASA’s NCAM program.
