Karissa Young is a Vehicle Fluids Engineer at Relativity Space since September 2025, previously serving as a Propulsion Engineer at BLUE ORIGIN from September 2017 to August 2025. Karissa contributed as the Innovation Team Co-lead for EcoCAR 3, an Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition focused on redesigning the Chevrolet Camaro’s powertrain for enhanced environmental performance. Earlier experience includes a summer internship at Ford Motor Company in 2016 and a Cooperative Education Student role at Georgia-Pacific LLC from January to May 2013, where capital projects in the pulp and paper industry were managed. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from The University of Alabama, earned between 2011 and 2017.
