Lmya Ahmed

Lmya Ahmed is a Senior Coordinator of Events & Operations for Relay’s Professional Education Team. In her role, she leads operations for their Teacher Programs. Lmya handles logistics, payments and event communication for a teacher programs team that served over 10,000 participants last year.

Before joining Relay, Lmya worked as a Special Education Teacher and Recreational Programs Coordinator for The Ivymount School for 8 years, primarily serving students with autism and their families. She is a graduate of George Mason University where she earned a bachelor of arts in public and community engagement and a master of education in special education. Lmya was born in Omdurman, Sudan but was raised and still resides in the DMV with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys trekking the globe with her family and mild hot sauces.
