Karl Morand is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in product and engineering leadership. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Release Recovery since March 2025, Karl previously held the position of Head of Product and Engineering at MANUAL until its acquisition by Release Recovery in March 2025. Prior roles include Lead Frontend Engineer at Tembo, where work focused on a SaaS platform, and VP of Product & Engineering at Coterie, where team growth and fundraising efforts were central. Other positions include engineering roles at FamilyTech and early career experiences in front-end development and freelance podcast production, alongside military service as an Infantryman in the US Army. Karl earned a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies from Fordham University from 2010 to 2013.
