Mike Metheny

Mike Metheny has a diverse background in software engineering, primarily focusing on flight applications and embedded systems. Mike is currently the Head of Software at Reliable Robotics Corporation since November 2023. Previously, they worked at Collins Aerospace as a Principal Software Engineer from December 2018 to March 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at Rockwell Collins, including Principal Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on embedded flight control systems and simulation development. Mike started their career as an Aerospace Software Engineer at NLX, where they were involved in improving the fidelity of flight simulations. Mike's earliest work experience was as an Undergraduate Researcher at Virginia Tech, where they specialized in software development and electronics integration.

Mike Metheny has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech, which they earned from 1997 to 2003. Mike also holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University, which they obtained from 2011 to 2014.
