Amit Chopra

Amit Chopra has over 20 years of work experience in the insurance and sales industries. Amit is currently the Head of Partnerships, Bancassurance, Group, Business Development, and International Business at Reliance Nippon Life Insurance, a position they have held since August 2017. In this role, they successfully grew the third-party business by 100% in 2018-19 and revitalized the broking and bancassurance verticals. Amit has also gained exposure to the Middle East market, managing the International NRI vertical and overseeing the Dubai office.

Prior to their current position, Amit worked as an Executive Vice President at Bharti AXA Life Insurance from 2007 to 2017. Amit also served as a Senior Manager at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited from 2002 to 2007. Earlier in their career, Amit worked as a Sales Executive at Voltas Limited - A TATA Enterprise. Amit began their professional journey with Hindustan Lever Limited in 1999, where they completed a summer training project in the Foods Department.

Throughout their career, Amit has focused on hiring and retaining talent, improving productivity and cost efficiency, and building strong partnerships in the industry.

Amit Chopra completed their Indian Certificate of Secondary Education in Economics/Commerce from The Doon School in 1992. From 1992 to 1994, they pursued Commerce as their field of study at The Doon School and obtained an Indian School Certificate. Amit then enrolled at St. Xavier's College from 1994 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics. Amit Chopra continued their education at the International Management Institute - IMI from 1998 to 2000, obtaining an MBA with a specialization in Marketing. In 2015, they briefly attended INSEAD for the Competitive Strategy Program, although the specific field of study is not mentioned.
