Jim Murphy

Jim Murphy, CTP has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Jim began their career in the United States Marine Corps, serving as a Field Radio Operator/Supervisor and receiving the Naval Achievement Medal for their exceptional performance. In this role, they demonstrated strong leadership skills, effective inventory control, and meticulous record-keeping.

Following their military service, Jim worked at Wachovia Bank as a Teller before joining Kendal-Crosslands Communities as an Admissions/Marketing Intern. After that, they moved on to Prudential Financial, where they took on various roles, including Investment Operations Associate, Senior Accounting Associate, Derivatives Team Lead, Senior Alternative Products Specialist, and Associate Manager. During their time at Prudential, they gained valuable experience in investment operations, accounting, and derivatives.

Currently, Jim is working at Reliance Standard, starting as a Manager in Investment Operations and now serving as the Director. Their responsibilities in this position include overseeing the investment operations and contributing to strategic decision-making.

Jim Murphy, CTP holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Fordham Gabelli School of Business, which they completed between 2011 and 2013. Jim also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Penn State University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. In addition, they have earned the Certified Treasury Professional certification from the Association for Financial Professionals in June 2022.
