Samir Samant

Samir Samant has worked in the legal field for over a decade. Samir started their career as an advocate at Legapex, where they founded an independent law firm. Samir then worked as the head of litigation at Reliance Communications Limited. In 2008, they joined Reliance MediaWorks Limited as vice president of legal affairs. Samir has handled court cases in various courts in India, provided legal input for various projects, and carried out legal due diligence for takeovers of cinema and theatre businesses all over India. Samir has also drafted and vetted numerous contracts, including film financing, production, and distribution contracts, share purchase agreements, memorandum of understandings, business transfer agreements, leave & license agreements, lease documentation, and non disclosure agreements. In their current role as head of legal at Reliance MediaWorks, they are responsible for all legal affairs of the company.

Samir Samant's educational career began at St. Blaises High School. Samir then went on to Bhavans College, Andheri where they completed their Bachelor of Commerce (BCom). Samir Samant then completed their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the New Law College in Matunga. Samir followed this with a Master of Commerce (MCom) from Mumbai University. Finally, they became a solicitor after completing their studies at the College of Law in Wales, London.
