Larry Schmidt

Larry is a Clarksville native, and played golf at the University of Nebraska. He belongs to the Downtown Clarksville Kiwanis Club, is an active member of the Nashville Sports Council, and volunteers annually at the Nashville Golf Open and the Southeastern Conference basketball tournament. He spent 20 years as a free lance writer for the Louisville Courier-Journal, and the Chattanooga Times Free Press, as well as several NCAA tournament publications. In 2012, the Ohio Valley Conference honored him with the Media Lifetime Achievement Award.
