J. Ben Barnes, PhD has a strong background in research and clinical work. J. Ben is currently the Director of the Practice Research Network at Reliant Medical Group, where they oversee research initiatives. Prior to this, they had their own private psychotherapy practice focusing on evidence-based treatments for anxiety disorders and PTSD. J. Ben also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Psychologist at the Massachusetts Veterans Epidemiology Research and Information Center (MAVERIC), where they conducted diagnostic assessments for the Consortium to Alleviate PTSD. Earlier in their career, they were a Clinical Science Graduate Student at the University of Delaware, studying mechanisms of change in psychotherapies. J. Ben also worked as a Research Technician at the VA Boston Healthcare System and as a Mental Health Specialist at Franciscan Children's Hospital.
J. Ben Barnes, PhD completed a B.A. in Psychology at UMass Boston from 2008 to 2009. Following this, they obtained a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Delaware from 2012 to 2017.
