Joe Johnsey

Joe Johnsey has a strong background in the healthcare industry. Joe started their career as a Physician at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in 2002 and worked there until 2006. Joe then moved on to Magnolia Regional Health Center, where they served as the Assistant Medical Director and EMS Medical Director from 2006 to 2008. Joe then joined Schumacher Group as a Physician from 2008 to 2014. In 2010, they took on the role of Medical Director at Air Evac Lifeteam, and also became the Medical Director of Emergency Services at North Mississippi Medical Center, where they worked until 2020. In 2016, Joe transitioned to the role of Chief Medical Officer at Relias Healthcare. Joe is currently serving as the Regional VP of Emergency Services at Hyr Medical, a position they started in May 2018.

Joe Johnsey has a diverse education history. Joe earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Auburn University from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they attended the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, where they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from 1998 to 2002. Joe also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University, where they studied from 1993 to 1996. Moreover, they completed an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Pre-Engineering at Northeast Mississippi Community College from 1991 to 1993.

In addition to their formal education, Joe Johnsey has received several certifications. Joe obtained certification from Reliashealthcare in February 2022. In December 2017, they received Emergency Medicine Certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Furthermore, Joe is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt-certified professional, though the specific institution and year of obtaining this certification are unknown.
