Joe Johnsey has a strong background in the healthcare industry. Joe started their career as a Physician at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in 2002 and worked there until 2006. Joe then moved on to Magnolia Regional Health Center, where they served as the Assistant Medical Director and EMS Medical Director from 2006 to 2008. Joe then joined Schumacher Group as a Physician from 2008 to 2014. In 2010, they took on the role of Medical Director at Air Evac Lifeteam, and also became the Medical Director of Emergency Services at North Mississippi Medical Center, where they worked until 2020. In 2016, Joe transitioned to the role of Chief Medical Officer at Relias Healthcare. Joe is currently serving as the Regional VP of Emergency Services at Hyr Medical, a position they started in May 2018.

In December 2017, they received Emergency Medicine Certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Furthermore, Joe is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt-certified professional, though the specific institution and year of obtaining this certification are unknown.
