Andrew Parkes has a strong background in logistics and supply chain management. Andrew has held various roles in different organizations over the years. Starting from 2022, Parkes is currently serving as the Director of Global Supply Chain and Operations at Relief International. Prior to that, they worked as the Global Operations Manager at Malaria Consortium from 2016 to 2022. From 2012 to 2016, they held the position of Head of Logistics at Save the Children International. Before that, they worked at Save the Children as a Humanitarian Logistics Manager from 2011 to 2012. Parkes also has experience working with Merlin, where they served as an Emergency Logistics Manager and a Humanitarian Logistics Consultant in various locations such as Pakistan, Central African Republic, Libya, Haiti, and South Sudan from 2009 to 2011. Andrew has also worked as a Logistics Advisor and Coordinator at GOAL Global, both in South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo from 2005 to 2009. Parkes began their career at Electric Paper as a Senior Sales and Projects Executive from 2001 to 2005. Andrew Parkes has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Applied Environmental Geology from the University of Portsmouth, which they obtained from 1993 to 1996. Andrew further pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Environmental Sciences from Trinity College Dublin, completing it between 1996 and 1997. In 2015, they attended AXELOS Ltd and obtained a Prince2 certification in Project Management. In 2019, they participated in a course at Hemsley Fraser, studying Finance for non finance managers.
