Karen Marangi

Karen Marangi serves as Director of Federal Government Affairs and Head of US IP Policy at RELX Group since 2017. Prior to this role, Karen was Principal at The Raben Group from 2008 to 2017, and held the position of Of Counsel at Patton Boggs LLP between 1999 and 2008. Karen also worked as Counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee from 1997 to 1999, and as an Associate at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP from 1995 to 1997. Karen began a career in legislative affairs as a Legislative Aide for Senator Alan Cranston from 1989 to 1991 and started in the legal field as a Paralegal at Maryland Legal Aid from 1988 to 1989. Karen holds a B.A. in English from Stanford University and has completed studies at Stanford Law School.
