Robert Macleod

Robert Macleod is a Non-Executive Director at RELX and has previously held positions as Chief Executive at Johnson Matthey, Group Finance Director at Atkins, and Non Executive Director at Aggreko.

Robert has been with Johnson Matthey since 2009, first as Group Finance Director and then as Chief Executive from 2014 until their current position. Their aim has been to continue to build on the company's great reputation for integrity and innovation dating back more than 200 years.

Under Robert's leadership, Johnson Matthey has continued to be a world leader in innovation, with 10% of their employees involved in Research and Development. They have also continued to promote their corporate values of Integrity, Acting with Integrity, Innovating and Improving, Protecting people and the Planet, Working Together, and Owning What We Do.

Before joining Johnson Matthey, Robert was the Group Finance Director at Atkins from 2003 to 2009. Robert also has experience as a Non Executive Director, having served in that role at Aggreko from 2007 to 2016.

In their current role at RELX, Robert is continuing their work in promoting integrity and innovation in the business world.

Robert Macleod studied chemical engineering at Cambridge University, where they earned their master's degree.
