Vanessa Xu

Vanessa Xu currently serves as the Regional Head of HR for APAC at RELX, a position held since May 2023, overseeing local HR teams across multiple regions including ANZ, GC, India, North Asia, and SEA. Prior to this role, Vanessa was the HR Director for Asia at LexisNexis from January 2017 to April 2023, where responsibilities included the development of human capital strategies for over eight geographies. Earlier experiences include roles such as APAC Organisational Development Lead, Interim Director of HR for GCNA, and a Director on the Board of RELX (Greater China) Ltd. Vanessa's career began at Global Sources and Westin Hotels & Resorts before transitioning to Oracle, where a significant focus on talent management and leadership development was established across Asia Pacific. Vanessa holds an MBA from Macquarie Business School and a BA in International Studies from China Foreign Affairs University.
