Michael Zhang has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Michael started their career as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy in July 2016. Michael was later promoted to the role of Inventory Specialist in March 2018 and then became a Lead Pharmacy Technician in March 2020. In June 2020, they took on the additional responsibility of being a Mobile Training Coach at CVS Pharmacy. Michael continued working in these roles until July 2021.
In addition to their experience at CVS Pharmacy, Michael also worked as an Order Entry Specialist at Remedi SeniorCare Pharmacy starting in July 2021.
During their time at the University of Pittsburgh, Michael served as a Resident Assistant from March 2017 to April 2019.
Michael Zhang received their Bachelor's Degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019 with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2015, they attended Pennsbury High School where they graduated in the top 15% of their class. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree at the University of Maryland, Baltimore Graduate School, which they are expected to complete in 2024. Michael Zhang has also obtained certifications in CPR & AED from the American Heart Association in September 2021. Michael is additionally certified as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Furthermore, they have expressed an interest in obtaining a Pharmacy Based Vaccination certification from the American Pharmacists Association.
Remedi SeniorCare Pharmacy
Remedi SeniorCare provides pharmacy services for the long-term care facilities. It offers automatic therapeutic interchange, education and consulting, and transition services. The company also provides Paxit, an automated medication dispensing system; and My Remedi, a Web-based portal that provides information and administrative tools forcustomers. In addition, it offers pharmacy services, such as in-house starter dose pharmacy, delivery of medications, interim supply, Medicare part D support, medical records, collaborative guidance and support, infusion therapy, transition support, customized reporting, and education and training.
