Adam Setapen

Adam Setapen has worked at a number of companies since 2008. Adam began their career as an Intern/Programmer at TRACLabs, Inc. in 2009. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant at the MIT Media Lab. In 2012, they moved to Romotive as a Roboticist. In 2014, they joined 3D Robotics as a Roboticist. In 2015, they became a Lead Hardware Engineer at AltSchool. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Senior Robotics Engineer at Mayfield Robotics and Primed Technologies. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as a Senior Staff Robotics Engineer, Staff Robotics Engineer, and Senior Robotics Software Engineer at Canvas. Currently, they are a Staff Software Engineer at Remedy Robotics.

Adam Setapen began their educational journey in 2005 when they attended The University of Texas at Austin and earned a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and Turing Scholars Honors in 2009. Adam then pursued a Masters of Science in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin from 2008 to 2010. Finally, they obtained a Masters of Science in Robotics, Media Arts and Sciences from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2012.
