Moni Shahar

Moni Shahar is currently an advisor at RemitRix. Prior to this, they worked as a machine learning engineer at Facebook from January 2019 to November 2020. There, they researched and developed machine learning for chatbot and information retrieval. From September 2017 to January 2019, they worked as a distinguished data scientist at Intuit. There, they worked with three machine learning teams on various domains such as fraud, anomaly detection, NLP, and general prediction problems. Prior to Intuit, Moni Shahar worked as a researcher at Istra Research Ltd from September 2011 to September 2017. There, their research was focused on statistics, machine learning and reinforcement learning. They also implemented trading strategies in C++. From January 2010 to September 2011, Moni Shahar worked as an algorithm designer at STATS LLC. From January 2008 to December 2010, they worked as a data research analyst at MarektWindows Ltd. And from January 2006 to December 2008, they worked as a data researcher analyst at Verix. Finally, from January 2002 to December 2006, Moni Shahar worked as a physicist and algorithm researcher at Ron Soferman Image Processing Ltd.

Moni Shahar has a PhD in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University, a Master's degree in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics from Tel Aviv University.
