Kirk Brundage is an accomplished percussionist and author with extensive experience in music education and performance. Since August 1999, Kirk has authored the "Afro Brazilian Percussion Guide" book series for Alfred Music Publishing, while also serving as an artist with CD Baby since November 2014, where two solo-percussion CDs featuring experimental music have been released. As an artist endorser for Remo Inc. since June 2008, Kirk contributes to the percussion community. Additionally, Kirk has been an accompanist for the Dance Department at Santa Monica College since January 2008 and directed the Music of Brazil Ensemble at UCLA from July 2007 to July 2011. Educational achievements include degrees from the University at Buffalo, California Institute of the Arts, and the Royal Danish Music Conservatory, with a focus on Afro-Brazilian percussion, samba, and sacred music.
