Ruby West

Ruby West has a diverse and extensive work experience in the education industry. Ruby began their career as a Contracts Specialist at the Georgia Department of Education in 2002. Ruby then worked as an Instructional Technology Coordinator at Gainesville City Schools, overseeing the implementation of instructional applications and training staff.

In 2006, Ruby joined Thinkgate as a Director of Consulting, responsible for training and services related to educational assessment applications, as well as sales and marketing. Ruby then moved on to Houghton Mifflin as the Director of Assessment Solutions, where they worked on the national strategic sales team and handled the assessment portion of strategic opportunities.

From 2013 to 2014, Ruby worked as a Senior Account Executive at NWEA, focusing on state and federal accounts. Ruby then joined Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as the Director of Assessment Product Management from 2014 to 2018, where they managed the assessment product portfolio and oversaw content development and marketing processes.

Ruby's next role was at Imagine Learning, where they served as the Director of Assessment Solutions and later as the VP of Learning Science. In these positions, Ruby was involved in the development of assessment solutions and learning science strategies.

Ruby then joined Curriculum Associates as the Director of Assessment Platform from 2020 to 2023, overseeing the assessment platform. Ruby also worked at McGraw Hill as the VP of Assessment, Data, and Reporting - Product Management in 2023.

Currently, Ruby is working at Renaissance Learning as the Senior Director of Product Management for Star and FastBridge.

Ruby West attended Georgia Institute of Technology from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Ruby then continued their studies at the same institution from 2013 to 2033 as a PhD student in Psychometrics and Quantitative Psychology.
