Scott Montgomery

Scott Montgomery currently serves as Vice President of Government Affairs at Renaissance Learning, a position held since January 2024. Prior to this, Montgomery was Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at ACT from September 2022 to January 2024, where responsibilities included developing organizational strategies to enhance growth and impact. Montgomery's extensive experience at ACT from 2010 to 2019 spanned several senior roles, including managing significant state testing contracts and leading external engagement and public affairs efforts. Additional leadership experience includes serving as Head of School at Heritage Christian School from June 2019 to June 2022 and holding the position of Deputy Executive Director at the Council of Chief State School Officers from 1999 to 2010. Montgomery holds a BS in Political Science from Arizona State University and has completed executive education at The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business.
